Dear Simple Gifts Foundation Supporters:
First and foremost, we want to thank you for your continued support of the Foundation. Thanks to you, we have been able to continue to provide emergency financial assistance to those in need during a very trying period of time in Central Ohio. Due to COVID concerns and the safety of our supporters and patrons, we have decided to cancel our major fundraiser in February, which in the past has been held at La Scala. Although this cancellation is disappointing, the desperate need for emergency financial assistance has never been greater among those we serve. Record foreclosures and evictions are taking place due to high rates of unemployment and the lack of viable financial assistance from the State and Federal level. As such, we need your help; more now, than ever before.
We realize that COVID has affected you financially, as well. The people we help, however, might have their heat and lights shut off because they can’t pay their utility bills. They may not be able to feed their families, so they get what they can at local food pantries. If you find yourself in a position to help us help them, even if your donation has to be smaller than what you have given in the past, a little bit can make a BIG difference. We are hoping for a outdoor, picnic/fair type of fundraiser in the late Spring of 2021, depending on the medical recommendations of our State leaders. Our golf tournament fundraiser will accordingly be moved back later, in the Fall of 2021. We will keep you apprised of the dates, times , and locations of all future events.
